Garmisch is a gorgeous and picturesque mountain ski town nestled in the Bavarian Alps. We stayed at Edelweiss, the US Army resort, and spent our first days taking in the scenery and checking out some castles. We visited Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles and treated ourselves to a horse-drawn carriage ride, an alfresco lunch and toy shopping. Oh, and about 30 minutes after lunch, Jeff and Larissa indulged in a bratwurst roll. Mmmm...
