Pren and Amy visited The Brit-Tans at Number 10 for a whole week! We got to introduce our San Franciscan relatives to an authentic British cream tea, fish n chips, dinner at our village's gastropub, the train wreck that is X Factor, and the hilarity of Larissa's stick-shift driving in a roundabout. "Good grief, you drive just like Jeff!" Pren exclaimed.
The kids played a huge amount of Mario Kart with their Cao Cao and Auntie Amy. They also let Cao Cao watch an entire period of NHL hockey! Sadly, we couldn't get the Notre Dame game on our tv, but we tried to make up for such shortcomings by taking Pren and Amy onto base twice. One day, we attended the annual holiday fair and for the other, we ate a huge Southern lunch at the Liberty Club (the latter featured fried chicken, fried catfish, chili, red beans and rice, collard greens, cornbread and 4 different kinds of pie). Left, you can see the boys both smiling after the lunch, as Pren carried Kieran on his shoulders back to the 4Runner. Pren and Amy also graciously included us in their celebrations of both Amy's birthday and their wedding anniversary. Two years!!! Congratulations!
