La Hogue is a family-owned farm shop in Chippenham, Cambridgeshire. Today the shop held a Vendor Day to showcase local farmers and growers. We enjoyed sampling cheese, ice cream, chocolate, coffee, potato chips and homemade preserves. The kids loved greeting the Suffolk Farmhouse Cheese cows. (Click photos to enlarge).
Alex's favorite part of the day was when she tried escargot for the first time. "Snails are yummy!" she exclaimed. Kieran chewed quietly and nodded in agreement.
Although La Hogue does not usually have a vendor fair on its grounds, the shop is still open year-round and sells many delicious-looking items. Jeff keeps lobbying for the frozen croissants that one can purchase and then just bake to perfection whenever the mood strikes. Larissa is trying to hold off, but with the holidays coming, resistance is probably futile.
