Almost all of our terrific finds have come upon us accidentally. Our lunch today happened in the same manner. We tried in vain to find a Cambridge cafe called Black Cat and got incredibly lost. Somehow we ended up here at Three Horseshoes, in Madingley. We had an excellent alfresco Italian-influenced lunch complete with sweet scallops with lentils, sea bass with spinach, wild mushroom ravioli, chocolate nemesis cake with caramel gelato, and almond tart with creme fraiche. Alex favored the bass and lentils while Kieran enjoyed everything. Of course, we all fought over the chocolate cake.

i am loving the fact that much of your journey and experience has been around food. if only we had been there the same time!
