When Jeff discovered that kids as young as 4 could start kart driving, he asked Alex if she'd like to "give it a go" and she readily agreed. She had a lot of fun watching the faster karts on different tracks, suiting up, and putting on her helmet. Unfortunately, as soon as she stepped on the gas, she realized that 8 mph is apparently super fast and very different from MarioKart. After a few laps around the track, she declared that it was all rather scary and that she'd have to wait until she was older to try again. Sorry, Jeff, looks like you'll have to turn to Kieran for your Formula 1 hopeful! (Click right-hand photo to enlarge).

Oh no! Jeff's dream of having the next Danica Patrick have been dashed so soon?! The pictures are entirely too cute, and that helmet is so big!
I hope she had a good time nonetheless, and think of it, Autopia was kinda scary for us and we had mom and dad doing the pedals, and it was on a track! Alex is way ahead of the curve!
