Dublin - The Guinness Storehouse

Our first day in Dublin was sunny as we set off for the Guinness Storehouse at St. James Gate. Guinness is celebrating its 250th anniversary this year, and the employees were eager to show off how wonderful their brew is. To answer your question, YES! Guinness tastes amazing when it's served right at the end of the tour. It's very clean, with a slightly sweet aftertaste and absolutely no bitterness at all. On the other hand, the pint that Jeff got to go with his hamburger at the Guinness Storehouse Restaurant...that tasted pretty much the same as Guinness here in the UK. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we learned how the beer is made, marveled at the view of Dublin from the Gravity Bar, and ran up the many, many escalators and staircases! After our tour, we stopped off at Queen of Tarts in Temple Bar for some treats.
