No European vacation would be complete for Larissa without a visit to an old church! So, the Brit-Tans set forth for the Dublin city centre via a double decker bus. The kids had a blast sitting at the front seat on the top level, pretending that they were driving the bus.
Our first stop was Christ Church Cathedral, which spans 1 1/2 blocks. Jeff and the kids were delighted to learn that they could visit the crypt! There, they pretended that there were ghosts and monsters lurking around the dark corners. Larissa was thrilled to learn that the cast of The Tudors had been filming there just a few days before...but was disappointed that she missed seeing the actors in their regalia crossing the street to eat at the local pub!
Next, we headed for the famous St. Patrick's Cathedral. Larissa quickly toured inside while Jeff, Alex and Kieran romped in the park. Then we treated ourselves to Valrohna hot chocolate at Green 19. (While lunch food there is not very noteworthy, the hot chocolate is).
