We visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo today which is located in southern Colorado Springs. We were joined by our friends Mike, Sara, Kim, Camille and Stuart. Unlike the San Diego Zoo, this venue is much more manageable and easy to walk around in 1 morning. We were also amazed at how close-up we were able to see the animals! It was exciting to have only glass between our faces and the grizzly bear, only 1 fence between us and the tiger 5 feet away, and absolutely nothing between us and the giraffes!

We went there when we visited Ella's Godparents. Best zoo ever! Feeding the giraffes at face-level with them was so fun. :)
