The Rocky MounTans: Labor Day in Aspen

Jeff had Labor Day off, so we went on a weekend getaway to Aspen!

None of us had ever been there, and we really loved hiking in the mountains.

Proud Parenting Moments

One Evening:

Kieran: Daddy, can you brush my teeth?

Jeff (typing on his laptop and staring at the screen): What? Well, I'm really busy. I've got a lot of work to finish tonight. Can't Mommy do it?

Kieran: Daddy, it's 2 minutes. That's all it takes - 2 minutes. That's 120 seconds. Can't you stop for 120 seconds?

Jeff (sighing): Fine. Have your mom floss you first, then I'll brush your teeth.

Kieran (to Larissa): I got him to sort of say yes! I knew he would. He likes me better than work.

One Afternoon:

Kieran: Mommy, I'm so hungry.

Larissa: Would you like a banana?

Kieran: Yes, please.

Larissa: Ok, can you wait one minute and 36 seconds? The game is almost over.

Kieran: What? I have to wait?

Larissa: Yeah, it's the playoffs.

Kieran: Come on, Mommy. I'm more important.

Larissa: Well, I'll pause it.

Kieran: Yes. You'll remember what happens when you start watching again. You're smart.

Larissa: Thanks.
