London - 2011

We had a fabulous weekend in London enjoying delicious treats and exploring the Natural History Museum.  Crepes, sushi, burgers, pasta, various baked goods...we ate it all.  (See Perficious Eats for a detailed break-down).    The Natural History Museum's new Cocoon, located in the Darwin Centre, offered the kids the opportunity to see and explore butterflies, mosquitoes and beetles through a variety of interactive displays.  Kieran also very much enjoyed the Dinosaur Gallery, where we got to see dozens of dinosaur skeletons and get up close to a large animatronic Tyrannosaurus that roared!  For Jeff, the highlight of the trip may have been seeing all of the great cars in the city (Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini) or reveling in the fact that we got to northwest London on a half-tank of gas, courtesy of the Mini.  When we got back home, Jeff patted the car and gushed, "Good job, Rumble."
