British schoolchildren get a week-long vacation at the end of October, so we found ourselves venturing to Devon (home of Devonshire clotted cream) and Plymouth (where the Mayflower launched). We partook in many seafood dinners and visited the National Aquarium (Kieran ran around, pointing to different sea creatures and exclaiming, "I ate that last night!") Jeff was really looking forward to having a genuine traditional high tea, so we finally granted his wish and he got all the scones, Devon cream and jam he could handle: "That stuff is AWESOME!" (This said as we were seated in the dainty tea room with little bone china cups and saucers.)
