A Fab Day in London

The Brit-Tans decided to take on the nearly-impossible: braving the Christmas shopping crowds at Knightsbridge and Oxford Street in London.  At Harrods, we experienced a fake snow demonstration (just add water for instant and cold snow!) and ate lunch after wandering around the vast food halls.  We then rode in one of those famous London black taxis whichare so enormous that we were able to just wheel Kieran right into the cab, stroller and all.  The cab dropped us off at Selfridges, where we admired the gorgeous Christmas windows.  We also played with toys and marveled at the very impressive ornament department.  (It was quite hard to not overspend).  After some magic tricks and more fake snow, we walked down Oxford Street for the Christmas lights.  We munched down on croissants at Kings Cross Rail station while waiting for our train which left off of platform 9.  As we had some time to kill, we took a walk around and, indeed, found Platform 9 3/4.  Alex and Larissa proceeded to take a pushcart and drive it into the wall.  We would've caught the Hogwarts Express, but we didn't want to miss our own train.
