Wimpole Farm is an 18th-century rare-breeds working farm operated by the National Trust. (Jeff contests the term, "rare breeds," as he thinks that there's nothing exotic about pigs, goats, chickens and sheep.) Regardless, we all had a ball riding in the Shire horse-drawn cart, roaming the farm grounds, and riding miniature tractors. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that National Trust chefs freshly prepared the food at the cafe, where Kieran inhaled a lamb and carrot pasty and Alex enjoyed her potato and cheese pasty.
